ANNUAL SHAW ON SHOW TOUR TO FEATURE

HISTORIC, FOR-SALE HOMES AND RENTAL PROPERTIES

 

 

What:              The Shaw Neighborhood Housing Corporation (SNHC) is hosting a free walking tour of for-sale and rental properties in the historic Shaw Neighborhood. Come explore the area’s stately architecture and exciting residential opportunities, including large and small single-family homes, multi-family buildings, apartments and condominiums.

 

Pick up a list of open properties at the SNHC office and set out on your own, self-guided tour. SNHC staff will be available to answer questions about the neighborhood and to help you choose your open house destinations.

 

When:             Sunday, May 2, Noon – 4 p.m.

 

Where:            The tour begins at the Shaw Neighborhood Housing Corporation Office located behind Thurman Grill & Provisions. The office’s address is 4067 Shenandoah, St. Louis, MO 63110.

About the Shaw Neighborhood

The Shaw Neighborhood, which is centrally located in the city of St. Louis, was developed primarily between 1885 and 1925 and is named for Henry Shaw, who established the area with the creation of the Missouri Botanical Garden and Tower Grove Park. The neighborhood is outlined by Interstate 44 on the north, Grand Boulevard on the east, Tower Grove Park on the south and the Missouri Botanical Gardens on the west.

Established in 1981, the Shaw Neighborhood Housing Corporation is a not-for-profit organization that promotes responsible development, affordable housing and diverse character and vibrancy in the Shaw neighborhood. Through its local development and community progress expertise, the organization serves as a resource to developers, real estate agents, neighborhood residents and business owners.
